Adopt a Part of Frazier Mountain Road

A cleaner welcome to our mountain communities.

Frazier Mountain Park Road deserves better than roadside trash. Let’s bring local businesses, neighbors and community groups together to help keep it clean, starting with the area near the I-5 interchange and through Lebec.

Our goal is to help interested people organize manageable, county-approved sections. You can express interest as a business, community group or individual, or ask about joining a cleanup team.

Help keep it clean. Get recognized.

Kern County’s Adopt-A-Road program provides recognition signs for approved participants, along with safety vests, gloves and cleanup bags. County road maintenance crews collect the filled bags. Signs acknowledge your contribution and must follow the county’s recognition guidelines; they are not advertising space.

What participants commit to

  • Clean the approved section at least once each quarter.
  • Complete the required safety orientation and crew training.
  • Notify the county at least 48 hours before each cleanup and follow the permit’s safety requirements.

We can help with the application

Frazier–Tejon can help anyone interested prepare and submit an application, including organizing a proposed section map and general cleanup schedule. The applicant reviews and signs the county’s terms.

Tell us your name, business or group if applicable, and whether you’d like to lead a team or join one. You can also mention a stretch of road you have in mind.

Planning stage: Sections have not been assigned or approved. Kern County must confirm road availability, safe work areas, permits and signs. The county program does not cover state highways; I-5 ramps are not included in this proposal. Please do not begin roadside work before the required approvals and safety training.
