Start with the landscape.
The mountain roads, valleys and I-5 corridor connect places with very different rhythms. A visit might begin near Tejon, climb toward Frazier Park and Pine Mountain Club, or follow a quieter road into Lockwood Valley. Each community adds its own story.
Mountain communities
Frazier Park, Lake of the Woods, Piñon Pines and Pine Mountain Club bring village centers, homes and forest surroundings into the regional picture. Lebec and Gorman connect mountain travel with the I-5 corridor.
Tejon & the valley edge
Grapevine and the destinations around Tejon bring shopping, dining, lodging and commerce to the region’s northern side. They are starting points for discovering the communities and landscapes beyond the highway.
Ranch country
Lockwood Valley and the ranch landscapes around the region offer another perspective on local life. Use designated public routes and arrange ranch visits directly; open-looking land may be private.

The Ridge Route Communities Museum and Historical Society preserves the area’s history. Fort Tejon State Historic Park offers another view of the pass’s past. The Mountain Communities Chamber connects businesses across the broader area.
